I’ve long forgotten what bacon tastes like, so I genuinely think that fake bacon tastes like real bacon. That is until, my sweet meat loving husband takes a bite of fakin’ bacon and balks at the idea that this remotely resembles its porky counterpart.

Today is a lot like fakin’ bacon. You see we were suppose to get a glorious snow fall, but we did not. I was gravely disappointed to learn that I would not be running in the snow.

Today Winter Jam, an annual winter sports festival in Central Park, gave me what Mother Nature had denied.

Fake snow, like fakin’ bacon, isn’t like the real thing but is almost good enough to fool the senses until the next real snow fall.
