Great post! I know what you mean my head has been all over the place and it is no accident that I have put in the backburner any mindfulness practice. Whether is meditation and/or yoga. Thank you for this reminder :)

I've been feeling similar lately - super burnt out in all aspects of my life and craving some quiet and peace. I haven't practiced yoga since the beginning of the year before I hurt my knee and went to my first class in month on Tuesday. I could literally feel my body lengthen and create space in my body. It was glorious.

I can definitely relate! I need some more yoga in my life. I think that running and consistent exercise really helps you become in-tune with your body. It's so awesome that you were able to pinpoint what you needed. Glad your hamstring is better so you can practice yoga!

I totally hear ya! It's so hard to fit everything in. I think the best way to do it is to find a good download, like Yoga Download. They have short 10-15 minute routines, 30 minute and even 60 minute ones. I'm finding that even a little yoga really helps me even if I can't find time to get to a class very often. Ten-30 minutes at home seems to be a good way to fit it all in.

I am so in a similar head space. What an inspirational post - yoga/pilates is such a beautiful exercise. And like you said, sometimes it's ok to slow down and move to a quieter beat.

I've been to yoga only a few times and although I'm not great at the poses I loved the peace and mindfulness of it. I really need to get into a regular schedule!

I've actually been trying to get myself to get into yoga for a while now. I went to a couple classes a few weeks ago but haven't been back since. It's not that I don't like it..I actually loved it. It's the fact that I don't feel like I can fit it in to my overall fitness routine. I'm training for an iron man, attempting to not lose muscle mass in the process so have been hitting the weights hard, and take my much needed rest days have become a requirement....it seems like I'm just too busy to work yoga into this equation, although I'd love to....any advice?
