Say it, Do it! {Long Weekend}
{If you’re new to SIDI here’s some info: At the beginning of each week on FCITC “Say it, Do it” is a chance for us to commit to our workouts for the week by saying them out loud here and keeping each other accountable.}
The only thing I love more than a long weekend is a long vacation. I plan on being uber productive tomorrow! An extra day off from work to well… work is just what I need!
Last week’s workouts were a success! It feels so good to say that. I feel like I usually miss one thing, but this week was a grand slam! Yay!
1 Spin ClassDONE (with bonus 30 min class)2 Core WorkoutsDONE16 Miles of RunningDone! (actually 17.4 miles!)One workout with Harley PasternakDONE!7 Days of StretchingWill be done in about 30 minutes!
Favorite workout of the week: the 30 minute 5-Factor workout with Harley
Workout I was the most proud of myself for doing: Saturday’s 6.5 mile run (currently my long run)
Workouts I’m committing to for this week:
- 2 Physique 57 classes (or 1 class and one Dvd workout)
- 17 Miles of Running
- 7 Days of Stretching
- 2 Days of winter sports in Vermont
What was your favorite workout from last week? What workout were you most proud that you completed?
And of course please tell me what workouts you are committing to for the week.

My goal for the week is to get in all my workouts. I know it’s going to be a really busy week so fitting everything in will be harder than normal, including 2 long runs, one tomorrow to make up for the weekend and one this weekend!
Congrats on hitting and exceeding your goals. I didn’t end up running much last week. I did one day of HIIT – 2 miles – but of course made all my Refine classes:)
This week I am planning 5 Refine and either 1 or 2 HIIT runs.
I made all my P57 classes and almost all my runs this past week. This upcoming week, aiming for 5-6 days of P57, 12miles, 1 spin class or 1 zumba class
Great week for you Jess & more to come!
I had a good one & my all weight one is always the one I like the best!
More to come this week & already started with a great outside run yesterday & all weights today – amazing!
Great work Jess! My favorite workout was my 4 mile run on Friday – my first since just after my half marathon.
As far as this week, I plan to do 3 runs: 2 4 milers and then 5 miles, probably on Friday or Saturday. I’ll try to squeeze in a couple of classes as well but work is really busy right now so I am just focusing on the runs. And of course I will do my favorite Music Yoga Flow class on Sunday because that’s a can’t-miss.
Well, here in Atlanta, Flywheel has finally arrived so my SIDI for the week will be:
Personal training on Monday, Flywheel on Tuesday, Boxing on Wednesday, Stellar Bodies (like SLT) on Thursday, Flywheel on Friday (Ruth Z), Flywheel Saturday (Kate H), Stellar Bodies on Sunday.
Those of you in the know re: Flywheel, please let me know if the Fri/Sat combo will be too much – but it is sort of hard to pass up the chance to be with Ruth and Kate the Great.
Unless your legs are sore from your previous workouts during the week, I don’t see why doing two Flywheel classes would be a problem. If your legs are tired you can just adjust accordingly.
Workout I was most proud of from last week?
#1. My goal was to run 20 miles, I ended up with 24 under my belt.
#2. Sunday evening workout was 10 speed intervals with a cool down that put me at 5.2 miles & I felt so justified to eat my dessert
Workouts I’m committed to for this week?
#1. Tues, Wed, Fri, 4 miles per day with my dog in Central Park
#2. Tues. Yoga & abs after run
#2. Wed. spin class after run
#3. Fri. Lift lower body after run
#4. Saturday – long run (6-7 miles)
#5. Sunday – speed workout (intervals) followed by lift upper body
