Class Review: Hip Box @ Equinox Soho {instructor Steve Feinberg}
Class: Hip Box
Class Location: Equinox Soho
Instructor: Steve Feinberg
Class Description: A ”fusion” workout where the premise is to look like you are boxing but feel like you are dancing.
Reviewer: Jess J.
Favorite things about the class:
- Works all muscle groups – arms, core, legs, and no equipment needed!
- You are always moving…DANCING rather! There is absolutely no looking at the clock wondering, “how much longer until this is over?”
- Incredible way to shake up your work-out routine, it is truly a unique class and like no other routine out there.
Least favorite things about the class:
- It is only offered once per week, Equinox should expand this.
- Sometimes it is hard to keep up with the advanced combinations that involve punches, dips, rolls, etc (but everyone does get the hang of it!)
Additional Comments: Old and new-school hip hop serves as the soundtrack during sweat-drenched class that works not only on muscular strength/endurance, but also agility and coordination. The great thing is that instructor Steve Feinberg makes both experienced boxers and novices that have never thrown a punch in their life feel welcome and challenged in this class. If you are the type that likes to have FUN and not even realize you are enduring a hardcore workout, this class is for you.
