Favorite things about the class:
- It was tough love. The instructor was great and my muscles we on fire.
- I like the tiny contractions.
- It was similar to Bar Method but something about it was more intense.
Least favorite things about the class:
- Small room and it felt stuffy because there wasn’t a window. However, the space is fine and its NY so no complaints really.
Additional Comments: Barre, barre, barre, barre, barre! We started with a warm-up weight session with 5 lbs or more for the brave. Then went to the bar and did the leg lifts, plies, squats and isometric insanity. After bar we go to a cushy mat and do more ab contractions with legs. We end with abs and stretching.
I think these classes are good if you know how to protect your body. Know alignment and practice conservative range of motion to protect the joints. It is easy to get injured if you don’t know your limitations. However, the instructor is great with modifications and in general the exercises are safe when done correctly. This is a very good class to tone-up.
Over all Class Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
