Class: Bikram Yoga
Class Location: Bikram Yoga NYC- Midtown Studio
Instructor: Georgia
Class Description: “Bikram Yoga is a series of twenty-six Hatha Yoga postures and two Pranayama breathing exercises designed to provide a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating and effective yoga experience. During this 90 minute class, you will work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and internal organ in the entire body, giving you an incredible sense of well being.

Conducted in a heated room, Bikram Yoga detoxifies the body through perspiration, tones the muscles and flushes every cell and organ in the body ” (from the Bikram Yoga NYC website).

Favorite things about the class:

  1. The instructor’s are amazing. I have taken Bikram Yoga at other studios and Bikram NYC has by far the most patient and thorough instructors.
  2. They have a lot more classes. The first class starts at 6:45am and they have a last class at 8pm. They also have several locations in NYC.
  3. The atmosphere is perfect. It’s clean, the studios are bigger, they give you more towels and they have about 3-4 showers.

Least favorite things about the class:

  1. The price — it’s not cheap. $25 a class, they do offer a first time student deal
where you can try the studio for one week for $27.

Overall class rating: 5 0ut of 5 stars

Additional Comments: I just started Bikram Yoga and it’s so important to find a studio where you can learn and ensure that you are doing the poses accurately. I found that with Bikram NYC and highly recommend it.
