Say it, Do it!
I have a confession. If it weren’t for social media and you my friends, I would not have gone to hot yoga as planned.

So thank you! After working hard in yoga class and realizing my legs were a little sore from yesterdays run and Core Fusion DVD I thought twice about going to yoga class. When I remembered I had already said I was going to class on Facebook, the deal was sealed. Happily I took my first hot yoga class at Yoga to the People.
For those of you that don’t know Yoga to the People is billed as yoga for everybody. Their affordable prices can’t be beat. A one hour hot yoga class costs $5 while the studio in my neighborhood costs $25.
To keep me accountable for the rest of the week, I’m saying my workouts for the week out loud.
- Tuesday: Physique 57 & Hill Repeats
- Wednesday: off
- Thursday: Whipped! (at Equinox with Jaime) & Run
- Friday: Spin
- Saturday or Sunday (depends on weather) Run 7.5 miles (on the better day) Physique 57 on the rainy day
Now it’s your turn. If saying it out loud helps keep you accountable, then tell me what your planned workouts are for the week.

I love how social media keeps me in check too! I’d like to go for an easy run on Wednesday to ease back into running from the race on Sunday.
okay, so I totally thought this woman at yoga to the people was you today! I stared at her long enough to realize it wasn’t you!
Congrats on the race! You must feel so accomplished since you went out there in the cold and conquered it!
I love this too! I’ve commited to the #6weekpipes challenge and because of that and all my blogging about it I’m so motivated to keep going!
I definitely lacked motivation today and I have to finish out this half marathon training strong!
Tuesday: yoga (maybe a run if I have time before)
Wednesday: interval training
Thursday: spin
Friday: rest
Saturday: 11 miles! (I had to cut this one short 2 weeks ago because of my knee but it’s feeling better now)
Thanks for putting yourself out there and helping me be accountable too!
I’m heading over to your blog now to read about the #6weekpipes challenge. I have no idea what that is! What 1/2 marathon are you training for?
i’ve def used social media to get me up and going and yell at me a little! Sometimes you just need that motivation-we’re hear for ya lady!
I’ll be back in the city on the 28th, i’m going to try and grab one of these classes you’re always talking about-damn Buffalo doesn’t offer anything new!
Oh let me know which one you want to go to. I’ll go with you!
Like you, I am totally influenced by the power of social media.
My workouts for the week?
Tuesday – Lift
Wednesday – Bike sprints
Thursday – Lift
Friday – Body weight circuits
Saturday – Spin
Sunday – Active recovery
I totally use social media to keep me accountable – especially Daily Mile. Sometimes I really need to psych myself into doing some of my long runs and I need all of the help I can get!
This week:
Tuesday – Core Fusion
Wednesday – Run 3.5 miles
Thursday – Core Fusion
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Music Yoga Flow
Sunday – Home Team Charity 10k
Ok, so I decided to flip the script. I am taking today off and going for a short run tomorrow. Daily Mile friends have convinced me that I will be better off doing that than I would be going so many days without running before a race. I just felt like I had to report back
My Sad Workout plan:
Monday:Nada
Tuesday: Attempt to go to the gym
Wednesday: Attempt to go to the gym
Thursday: Attempt to go to the gym
Friday: Attempt to go to the gym
Saturday: Attempt to go to the gym
Sunday: Physique!
I NEED MOTIVATION!
Yes you do! Change “attempt” to a specific workout, even if it’s a 20 minute workout at home or a long walk! You can commit.
Not to sound too velveetay, but I TOTALLY love that mantra, Say It Do It. So easy, but seriously brilliant!
Good idea about saying it outloud!! I try to sign up for classes with friends too, that way it’s hard to back out, you don’t want to be that shadeball friend
I think of the gym the same way, I’d make a “date” with the gym and think of like making plans with friends. You don’t break dates with friends!!
Tuesday: Interval Training + 3m run
Wednesday: ZUMBA
Thursday: 3m run
Friday/Saturday: Cardio-Kick Class/Yoga Class (not sure which yet)
Sunday: 4.5m run
Great workout schedule!
Awesome. That’s why I haven’t made any public fitness declarations lately
Sunday: 1st attempt at a long run (done!)
Monday: Kickboxing (done!)
Tuesday: Run 30 mins; core workout 30 mins
Wednesday: Crazy work day – aiming for an easy run
Thursday: HITT
Friday: Small group personal training
I am also a huge fan of hot yoga. I tried it once and I was hooked.
