Reason #432
2011 January 18
Some things take you back to being 5 years old again. For me one of those things are no-bake chocolate peanut butter cookies. When I saw these on Jenna’s blog the other day, I knew I had to make them. I substituted the regular butter, milk, and chocolate chips with their vegan counterparts (not because I’m vegan, but because it’s what I had on hand).
They are everything I remember them to be and then some.
It’s reason #432 as to why I strive for balance and not perfection.
To me having this for dinner:

and a few of these for desert

is the perfect balance.
What does “balance” mean to you?

I love a baked sweet potato! I eat them weekly really.
Those cookies look really good. Which vegan items did you use?
vegan butter, almond milk and vegan chocolate chips.
Balance to me is when I feel statisfied in what I am doing!
I love no-bake cookies!! They definitely remind me of my own childhood as well. I still make them today, actually, because they are so delicious and easy to make.
Balance means I can enjoy all of my favorite foods, as long as I also include all my fruits, veggies, and other healthy foods (all of which I will only eat if I actually LIKE them!!). Balance=delicious
Yum! Those look amazing (even with the vegan ingredients ha ha) Balance, hmm, no idea what that means these days
Those cookies sounds amazing!!! Not to mention I love asparagus & sweet potatoes! That is a great balance! Balance to me is kickboxing all week, then on Sunday a nice, relaxing, nature walk with my dog, Buddy
I bookmarked those cookies on Jenna’s blog, too.
Balance for me means extra veggies and moderate desserts, never cutting anything out, just cutting things back if I need to.
Looks balanced to me! Need a few more cookies:)
I’ll take dessert!
