Not because of races.

Not for the sacred red corral.

Not even for post race cupcakes.

But because it turns my gray skies blue.

And that my friends is why I love to run.

Running turns my grey skies blue also! It’s the best stress relief and way to relax and calm down.

Running works for me too. :) Also, random phone calls/emails/text messages/facebook notes from friends who I haven’t heard from in awhile. My parents who love me no matter how snippy I can be.

Running is great for me. But while healing from a running injury talking to great friends is doing the trick.

    A good kiss, a starbucks mocha, a coal fire and a book . . .

Running definitely doesn’t have the same effect on me! I would say doing a good round of weights, or yoga, or a good elliptical sweat session, turns my grey sky blue. Other than that, my morning oats definitely makes me nice and perky, perhaps turning my grey sky blue as well :)

    Have a great weekend!

Great post! Running definitely puts everything in perspective for me, clears my head, and turns my sky blue!

Running works for me, too, but also yoga/meditation, a good book, a long drawn-out meal, and a tight hug from my hubby. :)

It gives me attainable goals and helps relieve stress. It is a group work out, but an individual sport. I train with great people, but I’m only battling myself. The way I feel after a long run can’t be duplicated in anything else I’ve tried! The high!

Cupcake trucks, haa. Of course a good solid run by myself. Or my sharing a spoonful of peanut butter with my pup:)

Aww I love this. I still have yet to go to the cupcake truck, btw. Running outside on a gorgeous day certainly turns my grey sky blue.
