Take it To the Next Level

2010 August 27

Today might just be the new definition of the perfect day.  It’s a day that has me wishing Labor Day could be postponed and summer could be extended.

I’ve been celebrating the good weather all week by taking my workouts to the next level.  Yesterday, instead of doing 4 hill repeats I did five.

Here are few things you can try this weekend to take it to the next level.

#1 Download my hot summer playlist as featured in Vital Juice (Click the photo below).

#2  Ditch your ordinary push-up for a “single leg push-up with a curl“.

I do it in the park all the time (strangers always say really nice things to me while doing it too!) and have done it on the beach, in the backyard, all over the house and apartment, etc. Nothing too crazy, but maybe one day”

I feel as though I am pretty strong, but I still can’t master a push-up without putting my knees down…any tips?

I’m ready for the next level! In fact I’ve been wearing my weights on my ankles while on the elliptical, JUST to push myself a little harder. Now I want to try those push ups. They remind me of a yoga move I do sometimes (forget the name), but I hadn’t thought about doing it as a push up. Great idea.

    Have a great weekend Jess!
