Bloggers in My Neighborhood

2010 August 8
by Jess

Yesterday was totally and completely off the charts. After the BlogHer sessions ended, Kath organized a group walk through Central Park. It was the perfect idea after sitting all day.

An hour later we all met up for dinner at Eatery. It so happens that I live down the street from where BlogHer was taking place. It seemed kinda surreal that all these amazing bloggers were in my hood!

The group included Tina, Kath, Kath’s mom & sister, Sabrina, Ashley, Becca, Camille, and Emily.

Next up were the official BlogHer parties at the Hilton. The party included desert from Charm City Cake aka Ace of Cakes.

I had a bite of both the blueberry and the banana cake. Both were amazing!

The excitement was off the charts when we spotted The Pioneer Woman and other powerhouse foodies Simply Recipes,Steamy Kitchen, and Savor The Thyme. They pretended not to notice all our gushing.

Have you met anyone recently that made you gush?

I also met the amazing Kelly Olexa this weekend. Total gush fest.

Ahhh, what a fun time! I wish more bloggers lived around here, or even visited here!

I haven’t really met anybody recently that’s made me gush, but Kirk from the Bachelorette moved into my apartment building so I feel like I have a reality tv star connection, lol. Does that count?

The last person to make me gush was Dr Dre, it’s a long story but he’s a super talented producer.
