IntenSati
Last night I had the opportunity to take a class I didn’t actually think I would like. You know that I need a straight forward class without a lot of arm movements and no dancing (have i mentioned that I grew up like the kids in the movie Footloose?). Anyhow, the IntenSati class was amazing!
The basics of this class is that you say affirmations while working out. It was so much freakin fun I can’t even tell you.
Our affirmations included:
“I will not stop until I achieve”
“I want it, I want it, I really really want it”
“I believe I will succeed”
“Yes, I am committed! Yes!”
This is one of those things were my blog post won’t do this workout justice. I mean I even have Patricia Moreno’s book and I wasn’t buying into this idea of saying affirmations out loud while working out until last night. With everything going on in my life right now, this class really helped to change my prospective and attitude.
If you know me in real life, I know you’re thinking that I’ve lost my marbles… well that’s kind of my point. I mean maybe I am losing my marbles because this class was silly and powerful all at the same time. I laughed with joy and believed the affirmations all at the same time.

I completely agree with this post. I did an IntenSati class a couple of months ago and was convinced I’d despise it, but it was really fun! I even admitted as much in a blog post, like you.
Beware that those darn chants will get stuck in your head though! I only took one class and I still get “I believe…I will succeed!” running through my brain once in a while. (Not that it’s a bad thing!)
Looks like an awesome class, I would love to drag my sisters to one!
Things like that always make me giggle. I’m not so good at the chanting!
I think the class sounds like fun! Laughing while working it is always good.
What a GREAT idea for a workout class!! This sounds like so much fun, and yes, you’ve sold me! I need to talk to my NY friends to see if they have tried this, or even heard of it. I bet they have. I need to start some of these classes here in Columbus, I bet they would be a HIT!
That actually seems fun…but I would probably laugh the whole time!
I would love to try one of those classes sometime! I heard about them for a Gabby Bernstein podcast, sounds like an awesome time.
oh that does sound amazing! i am NOT a class kinda gal but can see how this would be powerful and fun…….losing your marbles can be a good thing. i know you are going through some life changes right now and hope it is all good………thinking of you!
Maybe it’s because I don’t really take classes, but I feel like I’d laugh or roll my eyes during this when my muscles started to burn.
WOW! I’ve never even heard about InsenSati… this sounds great. It looks fun and is motivating.
I want to drink the Kool Aid too! this looks like a great class! I already yell things when I workout at home so this is right up my alley
Sounds like something i would enjoy! But i hear its hard core!
hmmmm…. i think it’d be too embarrassed to do a class like that.
That actually sounds really cool. While I am not the person to do the whole affirmation thing normally, I think I’d enjoy it in this kind of a setting. I reckon it’d be very motivating, especially if it was a very intense workout. I wonder if they have a dvd yet…
Sounds like some very interesting life changes are in the works…can’t wait to follow along.

Looks like a blast, but I don’t think I’d be able to make it without some snickers!
Haha I definitely couldn’t do that with a straight face, but thats the point, it’s funny to be silly sometimes!
This class seems so cool, where did you take it? I can’t wait for the summer when I can go around to different places and try out different classes. I’ll be asking you for some recommendations!
I took a preview class at Lulu. Otherwise I think they are only at Equinox and maybe the Y.
Wow, looks like a real high energy and positive class! I love all the arm movements, I can only imagine what a fabulous workout that is.
I have heard about this workout, and I agree – I think until I try it out, I’m going to think everyone who does it has indeed lost their marbles. Yeah…I can’t wrap my head around it. I am afraid I would giggle the entire time!
Oh my goodness – that looks like the workout for me! I would have thought it would have been lame too, but it really does look awesome.
i tried intensati once as well. I was a bit uncomfortable at the beginning, but then I loosened up and embraced it. It was a ton of fun and a really good workout!
