The People in My Neighborhood
I’ve failed to mention that I’m on stay-cation this week!! My husband had some vacation days he needed to use up, so we decided to take the week off and play catch-up.
Today I mostly explored my neighborhood.
I took a 12:30 class at my friendly neighborhood yoga studio.

The class was groovy, but too advanced for me. I use to frequent this studio, until their level one classes became to challenging. I always seem to find myself sitting on the floor while other students bust out into some complicated yoga pose. Nothing like being humbled.
We had the early bird special at Kashkaval.

We got there at 5:30 so that we would be guaranteed a table. This adorable little place seems to always have a wait-list.

We clearly didn’t have to wait for a table.

Earlier in the day we left the ‘hood to check out the Chelsea Rec Center. I’ve been dying to find a pool that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to use.

We’ve decided to check out the 54th St Rec Center before committing to a membership.
Lastly, it seems that I may have had too much to drink at Kashkaval, because I just signed up for another race.

I actually love stacations! I can get so much done
Ah! I love staycations. I’m having one next week:) I plan on hitting up the $40 unlimited week of Core Fusion at Exhale. Enjoy the rest of the week!
That restaurant looks so cute and homey inside. And wine and cheese? Perfect!
I forget how awesome staycations can be. You can totally get caught up on some regular stuff AND I love exploring my city. Oh I just had a good idea – maybe I’ll get one of those really touristy books for our next week off and spend it sightseeing at home.
Have fun all week!
sounds like a great day!
So jealous of your staycation! The worst thing about “going away” vacations is the fact that you always have so much to do when you get back!
I’m just jealous that as trainers you actually got vacation!??! I never did!
How fun!! I love Stay-cations. I haven’t been on one for a while, but I think I will be taking one soon….I need to. Don’t worry about the yoga, I’m in the same boat. It truly takes practice. I bet those people secretly practice at home 3 times a day…haha, and then they come in and pretend to be new!! Tricky!
Fun! Vacations at home are always the best and most relaxing!
The restaurant is adorable! I love that you’re taking a staycation! It really does you good. And the fact that your husband is around too makes it all the better. I hope you enjoy yourself!
Stay-cations are fun, love taking the opportunity to explore my local area and go on day trips.
I love staycations! I took one last summer and played tourist…when you grow up in NYC you take advantage of living here….
I can’t wait to hear about your next race!
oh i love wine and tapas! what fun….i hope my hubby takes a few days off with me during my sprng break
So jealous of your staycation! I feel like I need to play catch up so bad and I’m starting to get a little anxious. Perhaps I see a “sick day” next week? Muahahahah…..
Stay-cation – I like that!
Yoga is humbling — I’m not very good. But I do want to try to get better, too.
Signing up for half marathons after a drink? Love it!
I am terrible at yoga but I still enjoy it, even if it is very humbling
Yay for a staycation, so necessary sometimes!
Love staycations! We did that for our anniversary. We just rented a room for the weekend downtown and explored like tourists. It was great!
