Taking Advice
Before I forget yet again, the winner of the Core Fusion DVD is Heather of Side of Sneakers. Heather, please send me your mailing address so that I can send you your DVD.
The correct answer to the Pop Quiz is psoas, piriformis, and hamstrings.
Speaking of those three glorious body parts, my husband advised that I postpone my 8-miler until tomorrow morning. I’m really glad I took his advice. I went for a walk instead. During my walk I could tell that I needed to wait to run until tomorrow.
It was really hard not to stick to my training schedule, but one of the most important plans about a training schedule is the ability to be flexible. I can’t wait to run in the morning.
Here are the next two races on my calender for the spring:
April 3: Scotland Run 10K
April 25th, More 1/2 Marathon

As a lead in for tomorrow’s post: If you could have any career in the world without having to go back to school what would you choose?
My answer in tomorrow’s post.

I am actually doing my dream job right now! I’m using my marketing experience on the business side of fitness/nutrition companies. I am living my dream. Life. Is. Good!
Any career in the world? Honestly, I would be a country music star. I would love to perform all those twangy, story-tellin’ tunes …. but I can’t sing.
I’ll be watching for your race recaps … those are my favorite posts!
Yay!!! Thanks!! I can’t wait to try it
Mmm any career….a dolphin trainer
Actually I originally wanted to go to school to be an aquatic therapist, and that still lingers in my mind…
The truth is, I absolutly LOVE being an Engineer… sounds geeky I know.. I just can’t stand my current job and boss..
I’d write a novel … or be an award-winning actress. I’m aiming high!
Check out this article about “easy” and “hard” training days:
http://www.trainingbible.com/joesblog/2010/02/easy-means-easy.html
It says: “If one makes the easy days easy, the hard days can be hard. And race fitness improves. If, on the other hand, easy becomes moderate then hard also becomes moderate. And there is little progress.”
I like the girl who answered country singer!!!! That is actually an awesome one.
I am starting to live a dream I didn’t even know I had…being a personal trainer. I’m lucky that I was “forced” to make a change and ended up doing something I can truly say I love doing!!!
Can’t wait to hear your answer too….
Courtney
adventures in tri-ing
Scotland 10K? that sounds awesome!
I would be an architect or a physical therapist. Can’t wait to hear your answer!
I actually really love my job but I wish it was ENTIRELY working from home. I would also like to do more writing from home and one day write a book!
Also, would LOVE to work PR for a big marathon
Scotland 10K, that sounds amazing!!!
Can’t wait to hear your answer!
I’d love to be a part time teacher/part time writer, so I could do both. It would be nice to work from home some of the time, but also get out and be social/help kids
For a career, it’s a tough call between writer, artist and raw chef
Gosh what a great question…..something working with animals:
dolphin trainer
dog whisperer
horse trainer
oh to dream!
I think I would be a nutritionist and work mainly with children. I think one day I will go back to school to do this!
Can’t wait to hear yours!
a doctor. probably a psychiatrist! though i am planning to go to school to become a nurse practitioner, so that’s not too far off
Good for you for being “flexible”. As I’ve found out, being flexible is important in all areas of life. I used to be so rigid with my schedules, of all types, but now being more flexible helps me relax much easier.
I would own a restaurant, FOR SURE! Or just a catering company. That would be a blast. OR an ice cream shop…
Either a personal trainer or a restaurant owner! I love food & fitness! I really HATE sitting at a desk all day…… definitely need a change SOON.
I have always thought that being the token female sportscaster during NFL games would be the BEST job!
I would love to be a Life Coach!
Good luck with your races! You inspire me =)
I would love to be a physical therapist or a pro beach volleyball player!
