Okay kids, let’s see what you’ve learned on FCITC so far this week.

According to FCITC what besides your back must you also stretch to help ensure a healthy and happy back?

Here’s a HINT.

Leave your answer in the comment section. One lucky reader will win a very slightly used copy of the Core Fusion Body Sculpt DVD.

Hamstrings. But also your abs right? I’ve heard that both abs and back should be strong and flexed in order to balance each other and have good posture, etc.

hamstrings, iliopsoas (hip flexors) and piriformis…as a physical therapy student i didn’t even need to watch the video! i think hamstrings are most important of these 3 and most common to cause low back pain since, if short/tight, your pelvis will be pulled anteriorly and further increase the problem

sorry…just read that over and i got mixed up! if tight, hamstrings will pull your pelvis posteriorly, and psoas will pull anteriorly…even more important for them to be at ideal length and balanced out!

Your hamstrings, and two other really complex sounding muscles, piriforma?
