Full Day

2010 March 14
by Jess

I am exhausted! Today has been pretty fantastic, but I am beat.

I meet my friend at Flywheel for an 8:30 a.m. class. Which normally isn’t a big deal, but I couldn’t sleep last night and my alarm went off 6:30.

The instructor Erica, was awesome as always. I’ve been inspired to add a little Prince to my next play-list.

Then I headed back uptown to have breakfast and change into some non-sweaty workout clothes because I had a yoga/lunch/pedi date with another friend.

I walked 1.5 miles to the Yogaworks studio on the UES.

While the class was good, there’s just something missing for me when a yoga studio has a discount card style check-in system. I like small funky yoga studios where everyone knows my name. But that’s just me.

Lunch was at Candle Cafe, the little brother of Candle 79. Let’s just say the cafe is a 10 while the restaurant is a 3 (at least in my experience).

Followed by pedicures.

I then walked the 1.5 miles home.

Now I’m exhausted and ready for bed. What did you do this weekend?

BTW, you’re comments on yesterday’s post were super sweet! Thank you!

I’m a huge believer in Prince in all playlists. :) I pretty much always have “Kiss” on every race playlist in the past 3 or so years…:)

Ohh pedicures, my favorite pass time =) Seriously, that’s my favorite way to spoil myself!

I laid pretty low this weekend since I’m inbetween two travel weeks. I did manage to go grocery shopping, go to church, and watch a few good movies, though! :D

I really want to do yoga at a studio but they are so expensive.. $20/class…

Candle 79 is on my list of places to eat if and when we visit New York

Sounds like you had good but busy day… I need a pedicure so badly…

We didn’t do much this weekend. Our highlight was playing outside with the toddler today; it was finally a nice day… :)

    Have a great week!

Sounds like quite a relaxing day!! Yoga, lunch out, and a pedicure?! I’m jealous. I also agree that Prince should make it on to ANY playlist! His songs are just so uplifting and powerful.

Yesterday I just worked, and cooked food for the week. I also did a tiny bit of shopping at Old Navy :) I still haven’t graduated from Old Navy clothes, not until I’m making the big bucks ;)

Yeah plus 6:30 is worse when it feels like 5:30 to you thanks to daylight savings!
That cafe looks nice though and it sounds like you had a nice relaxing Sunday :)

Sounds like a great weekend. I had a good weekend of shopping, eating out, trying new raw recipes and yard work.

  19. March 15, 2010

I had never heard of Flywheel before. I love both Candle Cafe and 79, but the cafe’s vibe was definitely more fun..but 79 has vegan cannoli, so I can never abandon it ;) lol

  20. March 15, 2010

Full day indeed! But at least it included a pedicure, I love it :)

  21. March 15, 2010

I also prefer yoga studios where everyone knows my name. Just feels better.
