1st Time
Sunday I’m running my first 5k in forever. I think I ran a 5k back in 2000? While I’m unsure of the last time I ran one, I’ll never forget the first time.
I think it was that first 5k back in 1991 that had me hooked. Another unnamed Blogger will also be running this 5k. It will be her first. Listening to her excitement and nervousness really helps an “old-timer” like myself remember what it was like back then.
The excitement of running races fades throughout the years, but listening to someone who is beginning their running journey makes me feel like a beginner again.
She said all she wanted was to be a runner. I too remember saying those exact words. In fact I still catch myself saying it from time to time.

So does that mean we now know who unnamed blogger is? haha- I won’t ever forget my first 5k either, even though it was just last year. If my knee continues how it is has been it might be my first and last, but that’s okay!
