Remember when you guys were shocked over the sticker price of one indoor cycling class at Soul Cycle? Remember how hopeful I was to return to Warrior Fitness Boot Camp?
Well those dreams were demolished today when I confirmed that what I thought was true was true. Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is $18.00 more per class than Soul Cycle (based off of purchasing 10 classes that expire in one month). I’ll let you do the math.
The price goes down slightly if you purchase bigger class packages, but still not something that fits into my budget.
Here are two things that I’m excited to try (once this cold fades) that won’t drain my bank account:
1. Flexsolate’s Gym in a Bag
Jerry the President of Flexolate, kindly sent me a Gym in a Bag to review. I am super excited because this may be the perfect gym set-up for my teeny apartment. Plus, you guys know I love to encourage people to workout at home.
#2 Precision Pilates DVD
My friend Meg is the owner of Premier Pilates and Training in Hoboken, NJ and has just completed her first workout DVD. I secretly can’t even do a roll-up so, this workout will be an excellent addition to my training plan.
I promise I’ll review both of these great products in the near future.

Ugh it stinks how fitness can be so expensive! Good thinking with the gym in a bag and DVD! Hopefully they will keep you engaged and motivated!
It’s disgusting how much people charge for classes! The DVD is the best choice!
Can’t wait to hear what you think of the DVD. I adore Pilates, but cannot afford classes at the moment.
PS: The key to a successful roll-up is to have a very slight bend to your knees, and to pull down with your hamstrings, as if you were trying to lift your hips without moving your legs (does that make any sense?). It makes the roll-up SO much easier!
Julie – Thanks for the tip!
Good lord, they want to make people poor. That is way too much. I like at home workouts. Variety in the comfort of your own home.
can’t wait to hear the 411 on these!!! yay for things that dont break the bank$$
Jerry sent me a Gym In A Bag, too! I can’t wait to read your review!
I tried pilates once and didn’t like it but i’ve wanted to try it again because i’m pretty sure i did it wrong.
It’s sad how much it costs to go to a class. I’d love to take a Pilates class but I only have two kidneys to sell, and I’m sure it costs more than that for a full month. Can’t wait to hear the review on the DVD.
I love Pilates! Great work out! But seriously I cannot master the roll up, I don’t know what’s wrong with me! Everyone seems to do it with such ease and I don’t have a problem with any other move except this one. If you figure out any tricks let me know haha- I’m definitely going to try Savvyeat’s tips.
