Today my training schedule called for 12 miles. I only ran 8. I was really struggling both mentally and physically. However, it was still a pretty good run being as the park was quiet.
I’m slightly concerned being as my race is only two weeks away. But, at least I’m still conquering my winter running goal. I also signed up for the MORE 1/2 Marathon in April.
Does anyone else find running in cold weather much more difficult than running in the heat?

Thanks for the heads up about the yoga!! I may actually consider that, although I’m really getting into the free yoga on Exercise TV (which you told me about, well, you told me about the pilates….). can you believe I had never tried Exercise tv before?! As for running, when I used to run I did enjoy hot running more than cold. I also loved the rain!

I’m going to check out this free yoga stuff. I can appreciate the benefits of yoga but I have a hard time staying focused and in the moment. Maybe doing a 20 minute video instead of the 90 minute video I have at home will help with my yoga-A.D.D.

Congrats to running a race in the cold. I really wanted to do the NYC half this year but the thought of training in these temps make me sick so I think I’ll wait for the Brooklyn race.
