Smells Like Home: Pecan Butter

2010 January 13
by Jess

Obviously this isn’t a food blog and will never be a food blog, but I have to tell you about something amazing: vanilla cinnamon pecan butter.  You know we southern girls love a good pecan pie and this tastes just as good.  Thank you Jessica of How Sweet It Is for introducing me to the best thing since peanut butter.

It’s so easy to make.  I very slightly altered her recipe.  I simply threw two handfuls of pecans, a pinch of sea salt, cinnamon and vanilla in my food processor.  Tastes like heaven.

Tonight’s dessert was a wasa cracker smeared with vanilla cinnamon pecan butter topped with vegan chocolate chips.  You must try this combo!

It feels strange to be blogging about something as unimportant in life as pecan pie when there are catastrophic events occurring in the world so I’m making this post short and sweet.  As always thank for reading and for leaving such great comments!
