Affordable Fitness Gear Part 1

2010 January 4

Outdoor Running, Indoor Running, Yoga, Spin Class, Cycling, Swimming, Weight lifting, Hiking, Skiing

Sneakers, jackets, socks, mat, gym bag, cleats, bike, goggles, ipod, cycling shoes, helmet, gloves, shorts, tanks, yoga pants, headbands, hats, sunglasses, base-layers, wool socks…

The list goes on and on.

Working out doesn’t always require dri-fit clothes or special gear. However, you just can’t ride a bike without owning a bike and a helmet.

Luckily, I was able to bypass the credit card debt by finding good deals on almost everything I’ve needed. All of my other gear for various fitness activities has been acquired over time. In fact the workout pants I teach class in were purchased 5 years ago. They were an investment, not a bargain when I initially purchased them. But, now that I’ve gotten so much wear out of them, they were in fact a bargain.

I have scored great deals at Marshalls/TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack. Who cares if it is a discontinued color!

There’s one running store near us that occasionally has big sales so that’s when we bought most of our running gear – but we really just use the same few things over and over because it’s so expensive!

    Best shoe website ever:
    http://www.holabirdsports.com/

I get my brooks, even new models, cheaper w/no tax and or shipping. I have literally gotten them, at times, within 2 days! Amazing. Save soooo much $$ everytime. I love Jack Rabbit, but I love me a bargain more :)
