Fatty Does it Again
I am utterly amazed by what took place at Fat Cyclist this week.

Thursday, December 3rd Fatty wrote a letter to Team Radio Shack’s coach Johan Bruyneel. The letter was a joke as to why Johan should hire Fatty to ride on the team next year.
Friday, December 4th Johan replied via his own blog post. He proposed the following challenge to Fatty that would ensure he spend a day at training camp riding with the entire Radio Shack Team:
Raise a minimum of $10,000 for World Bicycle Relief and $10,000 for LIVESTRONG by Friday, December 11, 12:00 PM MST. He also added in a bonus: If He raised $25,000 for each organization he would recieve a brand new Trek Madone 6 Series bike.
That my friends is when this contest grew to amazing amazing proportions. Fatty wanted to give the bike away to a donor if they reached the $50,000 mark. Johan upped the anti by saying that the bike would then be signed by Team Radio Shack. Gary Fisher also agreed to give away a Fat Cyclist customized mountain bike. Trek also threw in a jersey signed by Lance Armstrong, himself.
Sunday, December 6th Fatty posted the challenge on his blog.
Monday December 7th: within 24 hours the $50,000 goal had been met.
Since there was an entire week to fundraise, Johan upped the game one more time. This time if Team Fatty raised $100,000 by December 11 Trek Travel would donate one 2010 Paris Finishing Package for one donor to witness the final stage of the Tour de France (Champs-Élysées Stage)
Tuesday, December 8th: Team Fatty raised over $100,000.
And to think, the only thing I did this week was get a haircut and blog about running. Congratulations, Team Fatty, for truly changing people’s lives!
