Fit Food

Gina has a great post up today about that trendy Acai berry. Its every where, every where! Why spend money on something that needs added sugar to taste good, when you can have POM Wonderful? It tastes pretty darn good without all the added sugar. I totally forgot that I had a stock pile of this stuff tucked away in my refrigerator. The kind people at POM sent me a case of this super powered drink over a month ago and I totally forgot about it (bad blogger!).

The nutrition value on this stuff is quite impressive. They even conduct research studies. This information is straight from their website:

All of POM Wonderful Juices:

  • contain no added sugars, preservatives or colors
  • are a good source of potassium
  • are gluten-free
  • are flash pasteurized to retain both flavor and nutrients
  • are certified kosher

I personally love using it as ice cubes to jazz up a boring glass of water. How could I not like something that’s the same color as my favorite “juice”

Wine is a juice, after all it’s made from grapes. ;)

Thanks so much for the shout out! It’s not everyday you read a post and see your name as the first word :) So cool.

I still have some of my POM juice samples in the refrigerator, and the tea. I Just don’t drink a lot of juice, but you’re right, it’s the real thing with no added sugar. Perhaps I’ll add it to ice cream or a smoothie soon!

I love all the flavors of POM (okay some more than others)! They sell the biggest bottle of it at Costco = ice cubes forever!

I have never tried Pom because I imagine the taste to be bitter and/or too tart for my taste. I have no idea what has given me that idea, but now that I’ve read your post, I’m convinced I should give it a try.
