Arch Pain, Be Gone!
2009 November 5
Its been over a month since I took precautionary measures to prevent plantar fasciitis. As you know I was having quiet a bit of pain and burning sensations in the arch of my right foot. I think I finally found the solution.

About two weeks ago, I purchased these at the Super Runners store. I’ve been wearing them while doing anything but running and my arch pain has been reduced to almost nothing. Right now, I’m not wearing them while running because I have normal arches and shouldn’t need the support.

These Powerstep Pinnacle inserts claim to eliminate pain or strain in your heel, arch, ankles, knees and lower back. I can’t validate all the claims, but I can say that they are eliminating my arch pain.
While I credit this shoe inserts for pain relief, I have also been doing more downdogs. This has been the best way for me to stretch my calves, achilles and plantar fascia.

Anyone have any recommendations for a new point and shoot camera? My camera, simply isn’t working. At some point I am going to dive into buying a SLR, but not right now.

Glad the insoles are helping, I keep thinking about getting some. I have tendon damage in my feet from years of dance and comfy shoes are a must!
I think I’ve told you, but I have plantar fasciitis. This is good to know. Often while I am on the elliptical my feet start to burn, badly! I actually have high arches and have to wear arch supports!
I use Sof Sole inserts which are similar to the Powersteps. My arches are really high so I need some extra support in my sneakers.
As for a camera….I have a Canon SD880 point and shoot that I like if that helps!
love it that you feel yoga stretches have beeen helping your plantar fasc. and also the inserts. my plantar fasc comes and goes, i need to see someone for it but have been putting it off…still.
rock on bout the chia seeds, enjoy them, they are so versatile!
Meg – Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out.
Great info! I’m glad you’ve found something that is working for you.
Which camera did you end up going with. (Just read your most recent post to see you got one!) I replaced my Kodak with a Canon this summer and I LOOOVE it. A lot of help I am now though.
Alison I bought a Canon Powershot SD1200. It was inexpensive and got good reviews. I’m trying to save up for an SLR.
Hi! So I’ve started to get back into running but this past week my left foot has been hurting. Mostly its when I press down on the pad of the foot (I don’t if thats was its actually called but I’m talking about the part between the toes and the arch). Do you think these would help that go away or do you think it might be from running on an incline? Just curious!
