Napa Rain
2009 October 14
Don’t forget to answer this weeks Tuesday Trivia question! You could win a Lululemon slipless headband.
Napa welcomed us with the biggest rain storm of the year.

We were resilient. No rain storm was going to keep us away from the vineyards! There were a few breaks in between storms that allowed for a few pictures. The first two pictures are from the Rubicon Estate and the third picture is Castello di Amorosa.
.

Lucky for me Castello di Amorosa was equipped with a fireplace. We were freezing cold all day. I really wasn’t expecting such cool temps!

The day ended with dinner at Zuzu. This tapas and wine bar could seriously be my new home. The owner and chef insist on using fresh, seasonal, local, and organic ingredients. We even ordered dessert which was an apple empanada served with a caramel lime sauce. This was the most delicious thing that passed my lips all day. For the first time ever I wish I was a food blogger. The food was amazing!
I promise there will be pictures taken at the next restaurant. Off to plan out the rest of the day. Hope the skies clear up soon!

I hope it clears up soon. =)
That empanada sounds amazing…enjoy the rest of your trip
Sorry about the rain – sounds like the food made for it though! I think my stomach just growled and there weren’t even pics! Yes, definitely take pics for us foodies while you’re out in CA living it up!
Hope the weather gets better and you have an awesome time!
Ok, seriously, Napa is still gorgeous even in the rain. You just proved it! Fall in Napa is gorgeous! Who knew?!
Thank god I didn’t miss Tuesday Trivia! I thought about it this morning and was so upset! Hope you’re having an amazing time on vacation! I really want to visit Napa! As for the answer, I was going to say Ryan Hall because he’s been in the news lately but I don’t think that’s right because he’s younger than me! So I’ll say Bill Rodgers because he’s definitely up there.
