It's annoying how one little thing can throw off all your plans for the day.

I don't fear the swine flu but then I don't fear any germs or whatever, I just never have, which is probably a bad thing. My husband is very fearsome of germs, he has anti-bacterial soap wherever he goes.

Normally I would say go to work, but these days, stay at home. I'm in no way saying you have Swine Flu, but if that 1% chance was true, you would not be liked! Not to mention, staying home would help you get better, and it's necessary in certain occasions.

Either way, glad you finished the race! Even with a late and anxious start, you finished and you've learned some lessons. I hope you feel better, stay hydrated..obviously you know that :)

Oh geez, working at a university, the swine flu is cause for widespread panic! We even have an emergency plan that was developed over the summer to handle outbreaks, including it's very own PR/Media contingent. I worked our Student Activities Night tonight and each table was handed a bottle of hand sanitizer when we checked in! One of the students we were talking to asked about the sanitizer and then remarked "Oh really, like it's that bad. I had swine flu last year and it's totally fine, it's like you're just really sick." I wanted to spray her down with Lysol after that comment :)

I think if you're feeling lousy when you wake up, stay home! Get your rest and your fluids, take some extra vitamin C - especially working at a gym with a lot of people and their germy germs, you don't want to compromise your immune system anymore than it is. But if you feel better, then go. Feel better!!

First, those were my last pair of running shoes. My best pair ever. (Also the first time I spent that much on sneakers but it was totally worth it and I'm never going back).

I'm not very paranoid about the Swine Flu but I'm definitely one who thinks things get hyped up by the media to scare us. People tune in to the news station with the scariest sounding headlines and it's all about ratings and money. I've stopped watching the news and have never been happier.

Hopefully it's just nothing serious - do you think you've been overtraining? I know that's always a sign of over training... getting sick when no one around you is sick. Take it easy!

The first thing, don't panic :) If you want to support your immune system naturally, things like astralgalus, echinachea, Vit C, Zinc, probiotics, sleep, water, etc are the best. You've got a some imbalance going on, but I wouldnt call it swine flu...AND I know a few people within the holistic community who have treated swing flu at home, and life goes on. Can you tell I'm a little anti-establishment :) Anyway, sorry you're feelin' sicky but here's to you feelin better. Sorry your 17 miler was sabotaged but hang in there. And thanks for the "gorgeous comment" on my blog...you're awesome!!!!!
