Almost Nude Yoga and HLS
My morning started bright and early with a one-mile walk to catch the Bolt Bus to Boston. Since I won’t be working out today and I’ll be sitting on a bus for 4 hours, I’m happy to report that it is also a one-mile walk to the hotel from the bus depot. Thanks to directions from Hopstop, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to make it there without getting lost.
My biggest challenge with working out while traveling, is finding room in my bag for exercise gear. Its not that I try to take equipment with me, its just that when I’m packing light, a pair of sneakers takes up entirely too much room. Forget about it in the winter. I end up having to upgrade to the next sized bag due to all my running gear for varying different weather conditions.
Since this is just a weekend trip, I just decided to strategically plan my workouts for the week around all the traveling. May not seem important, but I really have a hard time working in long runs when I’m away from home. I love running in different places, but I’m directionally challenged. Which presents a problem. I mean who carries a map when they run?
Shhh…don’t tell anyone, but today I’ll be doing this yoga download in my hotel room despite the fact that I don’ have the necessary workout clothes. It requires nothing other than my computer, which makes it the most travel friendly workout ever! No sneakers required. No special “what if it rains” gear. No map or real planning necessary. I didn’t even pack workout clothes. No worries, I won’t be posting any photos. But perhaps I should have packed a sports bra.
What are your working gear packing secrets when traveling light?

My biggest challenge when traveling is always working out; I always seem to make excuses not to do it!!! Packing lightly is hard; I am definitely NOT the one to ask about that
I LOVE the band!! You know, those bands that you see in magazines that you can use for your legs, your arms, etc. They are easy to transport and very effective!
I can’t wait to hear about your experience at the Healthy Living Summit! It sounds like an interesting and educational experience
With, free samples???
Great way to continue your work outs while traveling. For me, I just tie up my sneakers and run outside…I try not to turn corners too much, so that I don’t get lost…but if I do…well, extra bonus work out for me xp
Hehhe, this post made me lol. Hope HLS is a blasty!
I never pack light.. haha! That’s my secret. It’s like it’s physically impossible for me to pack light. My boyfriend makes fun of me all the time. We went to Boston for the weekend a couple weeks ago and I had like 4 bags. Oh well.
I wear my running sneaks to and fun the airport (or in the car for a road trip) because they are bulky and take up more room than other shoes. Saves me room in my suit case and ensures they won’t get lost either!
Have a blast at the HLS today!
