Top 5 things I learned at HLS
By now you’ve seen tons of photos from the HLS and read just as many recaps. Just in case you haven’t you can read all about it here, here and here. The girls did an outstanding job of putting together a fantastic and informative weekend.
The top 5 things I learned at HLS:
- 5. The Glo Bakery’s “Classic Glo Bars” made by Angela will rock your face off.
- 4. Sitting behind Zesty is the place to be during the conference. In 2 minutes flat he gave me answers to questions I’ve been researching for the past 3 months!! (yes, I’m that blogging illiterate)
- 3. Join Stumble Upon.
- 2. My love for organic and locally farmers continues to grow everyday!
- 1. To dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes you to write a blog you should be using Ecto (for us mac users) or Windows Live Writer (for PC users).
While exploring Boston on Friday, I stumbled upon this Farmers Market.
I also walked by a church that grows organic vegetables for The Women’s Lunch Place. This is truly a beautiful space that sends a message of love and community.
It was a beautiful weekend! I’m exhausted after the short trip. Luckily we’re not driving to PA today. Which means I’ll have time to update my website with Zesty’s recommendations.

Thank you for your HLS tips…do you use Ecto? I am about to try it…I need something to help save some time. I am a MAC user using Blogger. Quite a bit diff than PC users using WordPress so lots of the software wont work for me, thanks for the hot tip!!!
I’m trying to use Ecto. Right now its great for uploading pictures, but I haven’t quite figured out the formatting. Therefore, its actually taking me longer to write posts.
I am the one at lunch who put coffee in my tea cup! Yeah I was tired. Anyway, I was just reading your blog and found out you are in NYC. I hope we can get together again soon!
I can’t wait to eat my Glo bar!!
